The ICTA (Institute of Environmental Science an Technology, in English) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, is one of Europe’s leading centres in environmental studies, distinguished by its international focus, multi-disciplinary base, and attempts to foster cooperation between the various stakeholders on sustainabilityⁱ founded on social civil responsibility. Since 2006 ICTA has hosted an Ethnoecology Laboratory with research projects in Bolivia, Mexico, India, Spain, Peru and Morocco.
